Car Audio Receivers

Hello, and welcome to our website. In an earlier post we wrote about a cars audio system, and it being compared to a human body. The speakers are the legs and arms and are the most important part of the system. Here we are going to talk about the car audio receivers, and the receivers are compared to the head of a human body. They control the different sounds that come out of the speakers, features like bass, treble, faders and volume are just a few of them.

As for car audio receivers, much like speakers they have many brands, features, watts of output, etc. That are available to purchase out there to choose from. Choosing the right receiver can be very frustrating at times. When choosing a good place to start is with some reviews (just as an information point of view), but remember that reviews are just what a store is selling best or what people are buying in the country the most. Your personal preference and experience is ultimately what will help you choose what you want to purchase. What brand do you prefer? What features do you want on the receiver? Have you had bad or good experiences with a certain brand or product? So in the end it is up to your personal preference what you purchase in the end.

What’s In Your Vehicle Now:

Let’s take a look at what you currently have in terms of your car audio system. Do you have an all factory system? Do you have an after-market receiver? What features do you have on the receiver that you like? Most factory receivers have a watts output of a range of seven to sixteen watts, and you divide that by the number of channels that the receiver has to get the watts per channel output. Most factory receivers do not have pre-amp outputs for the installation of amplifiers and subwoofers. Just like after-market receivers, some come with pre-amp outputs and some do not, so it is important to look at the product description specifications when looking for receivers. They will tell you if pre-amp outputs are in the receiver that you are looking at.

Pre-Amp Outputs – What are They:

A short description of pre-amp outputs on a receiver. Pre-Amp outputs filter out all mid-range and high frequencies to the amplifiers and subwoofers. They only allow low frequencies to come out of the receiver and go to the subwoofers, which are designed to only handle low frequencies.

Next we are going to show you some different receivers from a few of our affiliate stores and the specifications on them to show you the many differences in features, watts and prices. Remember products and prices change very often for many reasons, maybe an item has sold out or a company is trying to move a particular item, any number of reasons. Feel free to click on the images to look at a particular receiver we are listing.
